Efficient Internet Research

Developing learners skills of searching the internet are crucial for fast and relevant results. So much time can be wasted using different search engines to find information.

Don't get angry Click here to go to the Intute Virtual Training Suite which provides free Internet tutorials to help you learn how to get the best from the Web for your education and research.

The content has 4 sections; Tour,Discover, Judge and Success. It is important that all sections are followed in that order to ensure that students benefit fully from the tutorial. There are multiple choice questions at the end of each section to reinforce learning. the content I found most useful was `not trusting everything you read on the Internet`. The importance of checking the `URL, `organisational codes` and `country codes` helps learners and tutors analyse and evaluate their sources.

I found the design of the site to be user friendly with the option of adding useful websites to your basket which can be added to your favourites, printed out or e-mailed to yourself.
